Four Honored with LTFCA Lifetime Achievement Awards

The Louisiana Track & Field Coaches Association honored four outstanding coaches for both their success on the track & on the cross country course, but also for their contributions to the sports and the coaching profession. Episcopal's Claney Duplichan, Dominican's Paul Garvey, Holy Savior Menard's Wally Smith and Jewell Sumner's Jay Stuckey were presented with the LTFCA's highest honor at a ceremony held during the annual LTFCA clinic in Lafayette. 2013 LTFCA Clinic Set

The 2013 LTFCA Clinic is set to take place January 10th & 11th at the Holiday Inn in Lafayette.

The featured speakers for this year's clinic are:

- Steve Dudley - Head Coach at Mississippi State University (Sprints)

- Derek Yush - Throws Coach at LSU

- Scott Christensen - Head Coach at Stillwater High School, Stillwater, MN (Distance) (Baton Rouge)

- Nic Petersen - Jumps Coach at University of Florida.

In addition to the Featured Speakers, the 2013 LTFCA clinic will feature multiple sessions by highly successful high school and college coaches from throughout the region. In all, there will be 32 different sessions to take place over the two days.

The Clinic is open to and free for LTFCA Members.
