Carl Lewis among the featured speakers at the

2018 LTFCA Coaches Clinic

Nine time Olympic Champion Carl Lewis of the University of Houston will be one of the featured speakers at the 2018 LTFCA Coaches Clinic to be held on Thursday, January 11 &  Friday, January 12 at the Ramada Lafayette Conference Center – Lafayette, LA.  Lewis will conduct multiple sessions on Thursday along with other featured speakers Justin Leonard of Southlake Carroll High School (TX) , Todd Lane of LSU and Amin Nikfar of Southeastern Louisiana University.  There will be four rooms going at the same time, each covering a different event area.

Friday’s speakers include Corey Mistretta (SLU), Tommy Badon (Lafayette Christian), Kelly LaMaison (Teurlings Catholic XC),  Claney Duplechain (Episcopal), Throws – Betsey Baldwin (St. Amant), John Talley (Dutchtown), Kyle Pierce (USA Weightlifting), Drew Haro (Brother Martin), Roy McCon (Walker), Laura Magann (Episcopal of Acadiana), Pete Boudreaux (Catholic) and Gabor Mate (Bar Area Bombers).

In addition to the clinic sessions, there will be a presentation of the LTFCA Lifetime Achievement Award and the Tom Nolan Distinguished Coach Award during a dinner on Thursday ($25 additional fee required, space is limited) as well as the presentation of the 2017 State Champion Coaches awards during the MF Athletic Coaches Social on Thursday evening.

The clinic is free to all current members of the Louisiana Track and Field Coaches Association.  2018 dues are $60.00 if paid prior to December 31, 2017.
